David Walliams lost his contract with longtime publisher.
Prolific children's author and entertainer David Walliams has been dropped by his longtime publishing house, according to an announcement.
A spokesman for the publisher said: "After careful consideration, and with the guidance of its fresh leadership, HarperCollins UK has decided not to publish any new titles by David Walliams."
Reports indicate that the move was made after an investigation into claims about inappropriate behaviour involving female individuals.
The publisher has not elaborated on the reasons for its decision, stating: "It is not our policy to discuss internal matters."
A Prolific Writing Journey
Walliams is one of the UK's most successful children's authors, having sold over six tens of millions of copies worldwide in dozens of tongues.
The debut children's novel from Walliams, *The Boy in the Dress*, was published by HarperCollins in 2008.
Several of his books, including *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have subsequently been turned into small-screen adaptations.
To date, he has released over four dozen titles combined, including a festive story called *Santa & Son*, which was published by HarperCollins last autumn.
From Screen to Page
His career breakthrough occurred on the television comedy show *Little Britain* and has also won National Television Awards for his role as a panelist on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He was made an OBE in 2017 in recognition of his work for the charitable sector and arts community.
This move occurs subsequent to the selection of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's new chief executive last fall.
